In the lending service area you can collect books that you requested at the Main Library and return items. It is located on the 1st floor of the Main Building. You can access it via staircase 2 (“Philosophers’ Staircase”), staircase 8, staircase 10 or staircase 12.
You can borrow books for up to four weeks. If nobody else has reserved the book, you can renew the overview table.
Books can also be returned by means of the book return boxes located next to the entrance of the main library area and in the corridor adjacent to the Auditorium Maximum on the lower ground floor.
Please use u:search to request books from the closed stacks of the Main Library.
We process requests daily. As soon as we have processed your request, the books are delivered to the lending service and/or the reading room, where you can usually collect or use them on the same day.
You will receive a notification e-mail as soon as the item you requested is ready to collect. If we are not able to process your request, we will also send you a notification e-mail.
