Holiday opening hours

The library is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Public holidays in Austria: January 1st, January 6th, Easter Monday, May 1st, Ascension Day, Corpus Christi, Whit Monday, August 15th, October 26th, November 1st, December 8th, December 25th and December 26th.

Holidays

• Semester break (February)
  During the semester break in February, the opening hours are the same as during the semester, with the exception of the reading room for old and valuable books, which is open Mon-Fro 10am-4pm.
• Easter holidays
  The Library is closed from Good Friday until Easter Monday. For the rest of the Easter break, it opens as usual.
• Pentecost weekend
  The Library is closed from Saturday until Whit Monday.
• Summer holidays (July/August/September)
  Special opening hours (please click here for detailed information) apply during the summer break. In August, the Library is closed due to maintenance work for about a week.
• Christmas holidays
  The Library is closed from 23 December until 26 December and from 31 December until 1 January. Limited opening hours apply between 18 December and 6 January (please click here for detailed information).
