(BMTV) is an online video library of the Vienna University Library operated on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF Medienservice (media service of the Federal Ministry)). enables Austrian schools and institutions of adult education to stream films in class.

It currently offers more than 2,000 audio-visual media (educational films, documentaries, videos, DVDs, DVD-ROMs, audio files, image series) from 21 subject areas online. All media have been evaluated by active teachers, who also prepared them didactically and added additional material, such as worksheets, interactive accompanying material or lesson plans.

The online video library is available to teachers free of charge. Following the initial registration via the website, they can use the available media in full-length for teaching.

As an alternative to the online streaming version, schools can also use as a real-time solution (independent of the Internet) on multiple workstations using the EDUskater® box. For further information about the EDUskater® box, please go to
