Use of e-resources: Basics

Please note that all courses are in German!

Contents:

  • Overview of the e-resources offered by the Vienna University Library
  • Basics of accessing e-resources and the terms of use (u:access, Digital Rights Management ...)
  • Literature search for e-books, e-journals and databases
  • Simple search options on u:search and customisation (“e-Shelf” and “My Account”)
  • Information about the Electronic Journals Library (EZB) and Citation Linker
  • Introduction to the Database Service/MetaLib and search for databases
  • “From the citation to the full text” (use of SFX)

Target group:

  • Students of all degree programmes, in particular new entrants
  • The interested public

Requirements:

  • None, computer and Internet skills are an advantage
  • Completion of the training course “Introduction to using the Vienna University Library” is an advantage.
