Due to technical problems (water damage) the reading area and the open-shelf section of the Education, Linguistics and Comparative Literature Library are temporarily not accessible from June 28th, 2021 until further notice.
The circulation desk is open according to our regular Holiday Opening Hours.
We will inform you as soon as the library is reopening.
UPDATE 16.07.2021: From the afternoon of July 16th, 2021 the ordering of books from the first basement floor via u:search is possible again.
UPDATE 26.08.2021: Due to extensive renovation work in the area which was affected by the water damage, unfortunately the open-shelf section as well as the reading area will not be accessible until the end of the renovation because of safety precautions.
The whole collection from the second basement has been moved in preparation of the renovation work. Orders from this collection will be possible again via u:search likely starting from September 1st, 2021. The lending and returning services of books of the (former) collection of the second basement will be handled by our colleagues from the Journalism, Communications and Informatics Library on-site.
The lending and returning services of books from the first basement will still be managed by the Education, Linguistics and Comparative Literature Library on-site. After your order via u:search please be sure to wait for the information that you can collect your requested books which will be sent to you in an E-Mail – only then you can be sure that your order is ready.
Times for collecting books from the stacks: 9am and 1pm
Reference holdings from the first basement will still not be available for loan. Please send us a request for digitisation or a short E-Mail if you need anything from this section.
