Research data management is becoming increasingly important in all stages of the research data life cycle. Data in the Social Science encompasses a wide range of data from interviews and surveys to observational data, data in different formats and of both quantitative and qualitative nature. This workshop will provide an overview of research data management in the Social Sciences, and offer guidance on how to implement best practices in the entirety of the research data life cycle from planning to publishing.

Learning Goals

The workshop will give a short introduction to research data management in the Social Sciences, focus on senstitive / personal data and present how to work with social science data, both quantitative and qualitative. Participants will be able to ask questions and discuss their specific concerns in smaller groups and the plenary session.
