Using the Library

You can find the holdings of the Historical Studies Library on u:search. Filter your results by selecting the Historical Studies Library in the “Library” filter option. There are 4 computers available for literature research. They are located in the entrance area. All study spaces are equipped with Wi-Fi access and most of them also have power sockets.

Most of the holdings of the Historical Studies Library are accessible in the open-shelf area and may be borrowed, unless otherwise specified. You can borrow items during opening hours, at the latest 15 minutes before the Library closes. Old and valuable holdings are kept in closed stacks and may only be used in the Library. In this case, please consult an employee at the Library. There is a separate copy room opposite the information desk. The copiers are operated by Best Copy. You can buy copy cards at the Library.

Please leave your coats and bags in the cloakroom in the entrance area before you enter the Library. You can use the lockers by inserting a EUR 2.00 coin.

We offer guided library tours for new entrants during introductory courses.
