The reading room for old and valuable books has reopened.
Due to the renovation of the main library, it is currently located in the University Archive, Postgasse 9, 1010 Wien. Before your visit, please make an appointment by e-mail (altesbuch.ub@univie.ac.at) or telephone (+43-1-4277-17201).
The reading room can be reached by public transport with the underground lines U1, U4 (Schwedenplatz) or U3 (Stubentor), or with the tramway lines 1 and 2 (Schwedenplatz).
The current opening hours are MOnday to Wednesday 9am to 3:30pm, Thursady 9am to 6pm, and Friday 9am to 12pm.
