Collection meetings

Each semester a collection meeting takes place at one of the collections, to which all collection managers, collection staff as well as other interested parties are invited. The events serve to exchange information, to educate the staff and to make the collections better known among the collegiate, but above all to formulate recommendations and suggestions for the protection, preservation, development, maintenance and usage of the collections. For this purpose, university lecturers are also invited to give lectures on a subject specific to the collection.

With this series of events, the University of Vienna has succeeded in institutionalizing a university-wide, cross-institutional communication structure for the collections area.
