The Research and Publication Services of the University Library are engaged in national and international projects and collaborations to strengthen services and infrastructure for research data management, publication services, research assessment, and Open Science. Through these partnerships, we contribute to connecting the University of Vienna with key initiatives and consortia.

  • OpenAIRE – to ensure a permanent open scholarly communication infrastructure to support European research.
  • EOSC (European Open Science Cloud) – The ambition of the European Open Science Cloud, known as EOSC, is to develop a ‘Web of FAIR Data and Services’ for science in Europe.
  • ORCID Austria – Consortium membership enables integrations between university systems and ORCID to create transparent and trustworthy connections between researchers, their contributions, and their institutions by providing a unique, permanent identifier that researchers can use throughout their scientific and innovative activities.
  • CESSDA ERIC (Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives) – to promote social science research results and support national and international research and cooperation.
  • Cluster Forschungsdaten - Since 2020, the “Research Data” digitization cluster has been strengthening national cooperation between digitization projects dealing with research data.
  • euroCRIS - euroCRIS is an international not-for-profit association founded in 2002 in order to bring together experts on research information in general and research information systems (CRIS) in particular.
