The East Asian Studies Library has existed since 1 January 2000. It united the holdings of the Japanese and Korean Studies Library with the Chinese Studies Library. In the library, these holdings are still managed separately.

Our team is further supported in cataloguing books by the department for E-Resource-Management and by Gertrude Lechner and Thomas Wildling from the Team “Integrierte Medienbearbeitung”. Benedikt Weiser is supporting us with the retro-cataloguing of our holdings from the Japanese Studies department.
