In the lending service area you can collect books that you requested at the Main Library and return items. It is located on the upper ground floor of the Main Building. You can access it via staircase 1 (“Lawyers’ Staircase”), or staircase 5.
You can borrow books for up to two weeks. If nobody else has reserved the book, you can renew the overview table.
Books can also be returned by means of the book return boxes located next to the entrance of the lending department and in the corridor adjacent to the Auditorium Maximum on the lower ground floor.

We process requests Monday to Friday at 7:00 a.m. As soon as we have processed your request, the books are delivered to the lending service and/or the reading room for old and valuable books, where you can usually collect or use them on the same day.
You will receive a notification e-mail as soon as the item you requested is ready to collect. If we are not able to process your request, we will also send you a notification e-mail.
