Library Instruction

Introductions and workshops relating to using the library, literature research and information literacy are offered in different formats:

  • Introduction of the library and library use during Welcome events.
  • Library and information research workshops on different topics for different levels of expertise during classes or in the library in cooperation with academic teachers are being held and new ones are available on request. Please contact the librarian for new cooperations.
  • The English and American Studies Library Virtual Learning Space (self-inscription for members of Vienna University with their u:account) is geared towards students from the English Department, and offers information, learning material and the possibility to contact the librarian to ask about information research. Virtual coffee lectures on research topics are held intermittently.
  • Individual sessions with the librarian, especially for advanced levels, can take place during the research office hours or upon request.
