15 neue Illustrationen schmücken die Wände der Fachbibliothek Bildungswissenschaft, Linguistik, Europäische und Vergleichende Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaft.

Sie porträtieren Protagonist*innen, die einen bedeutsamen Beitrag zu Bildungswissenschaft und Bildung im Allgemeinen geleistet haben, und laden damit zur Reflexion von exkludierenden und inkludierenden Mechanismen der Wissenschaft ein.

Die Illustrationen stammen von den Künstlerinnen Niña Lerch, Anna Meidert und Julia Rakuschan und thematisieren folgende Gruppen:

• Frauen in der Bildungswissenschaft
• Gründer des Fachs Bildungswissenschaft und des Instituts an der Universität Wien
• Menschen mit Behinderung
• Aus Wien Vertriebene

Die Online-Galerie des Projekts bietet zusätzlichen Kontext.

Presentation of the Mural „People of Educational Science“ at the Special Library

15 new illustrations adorn the walls of the Education, Linguistics, European and Comparative Literature and Language Studies Library.

They portray protagonists who have made significant contributions to educational science and education in general, inviting reflection on the exclusionary and inclusive mechanisms within academia.

The illustrations by Niña Lerch, Anna Meidert and Julia Rakuschan highlight the following groups:

• Women in Education
• Founders of the Discipline and the Vienna Institute
• People with Disabilities
• People Displaced from Vienna
