The exhibition was commissioned by the Cultural Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ireland to mark the centenary in 2006 of Samuel Beckett's birth – on display at the University of Vienna courtesy of the Irish Embassy.

It is accompanied by an English and American Studies Library exhibition of books on Beckett.

The exhibition will be opened by His Excellency The Irish Ambassador, Mr. Frank Cogan, on Wednesday, 6 Dec. 2006, 5 p.m.
